Čtvrté kolo Bobry zastihlo ve Žďáru nad Sázavou, kde svedli bitvu proti místnímu týmu. Podle průzkumů mělo jít o vyrovnané utkání. A jak to nakonec dopadlo?
Do zápasu obě mužstva vstoupila opatrně, velmi dobře fungovaly především obrany, a tak se diváci žádné branky v první třetině nedočkali. Viděli akorát pár souborů a pár vyloučených hráčů. A to tři na straně Bobrů a jednoho domácího borce. Proto o přestávce trenér Bobrů udělal v kabině povyk, z čehož vyplynula opatrnější hra bez vylučování, neboť dobře věděl, že vyrovnaná střetnutí nejčastěji rozhodují přesilové hry a oslabení. Naopak se zlepšil u Bobrů přechod do útoku, z čeho plynuly častější fauly domácích hráčů, ale ani jedna ze tří přesilovek nevedla k úspěchu. Nakonec na sebe vzal odpovědnost kapitán Bobrů - Tomáš Končal, jež se dostal k puku ve vlastní třetině, projel celé hřiště a zavěsil pod horní tyčku. Bobří fanoušci si tak mohli poprvé v tomto zápase zakřičet góóól (35:37). Po tomto zásahu domácí trenér stáhl ze hřiště čtvrtou formaci a dále pokračoval jenom se třemi, což záhy přineslo ovoce. Necelá minuta po zásahu trenéra stačila, že na kostce svítily dvě jedničky. V čase 36:29 se po obstojné nahrávce trefil Frode Westbye, přihrávali Gustáv Kántor a Dāvis Rīmenis. Do třetí třetiny tak obě mužstva vstupovala za nerozhodného stavu. Oba týmy do ní nastoupili opět s defensivní taktikou, ale Žďár nebránil čistě, během chvíle se na trestné lavici vystřídali dva hráči, ale Bobři s nabídnutou příležitostí naložili špatně. Naštěstí však Bobrům opět zahrál první útok, po skvělé souhře celé pětky perfektních nahrávkách Tomáše Končala a Davida Foltýna rozhodl toto utkání Vojtěch Pavlík v čase 53:29.
